Kvitel (in Yiddish) - Pitka (in Hebrew) meaning a small note with a request.
It is a centuries-old tradition to pray and place a note with a prayer or request by the tomb Mother Rachel in Beth Lechem.
We take your Prayers and Kvitel very seriously. You will receive an automated email message assuring you that we properly received your prayers.
When you send us your prayer, we will print your “Prayer-Kvitel” and arrange for Rabbis of our Kollel who study and pray at Kever Rachel every day, to recite your prayers at the kever. They will then recite the traditional Me S’heberach for the welfare of our donors and place the Kvitel in the special Prayer Box on the Tzion (tombstone) - a great merit.
This is a free service.
However, there is great merit in making a contribution and helping to support the service and making it available for others.
It is a Jewish tradition to make a contribution in times of trouble so that the merit of the contribution will give an additional reason for the Almighty to answer your prayer. Any amount is welcomed and appreciated. Your contribution will both cover costs of providing this service and help fund our community aid programs.
Eim Beyisroel is a Section 501(c)(3) charitable organization, EIN 11-3351902. Donations can be deemed tax-deductible and a tax-deductible receipt will be mailed to you.
